You point at it. We carry it out.
One sofa or a garage full. Nothing needs moving to the kerb, nothing needs taking apart first — that's our job, and it's already in the price.
- Half price on everything after the first item
- Fridge degassing included
- No permit, no skip on the street
One thing, or a few things
The first item carries the cost of getting a van and two people to your door. Everything after it is half price, because we're already there.

Upright piano £222. Grand piano, safe or hot tub: free survey. Sofa and fridge prices already include what we're charged for upholstery incineration and degassing, so there's nothing to add on afterwards.
When it's more than you'd want to list
You pay for the space you actually fill, judged by the crew on site. Book a half and fill a quarter, and you're charged for a quarter.
| Load | Space | Weight included | Roughly | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| An eighth | 1.4 m³ | 156 kg | A few bags and a chair | £131 |
| A quarter | 2.8 m³ | 313 kg | Half a builders' skip | £195 |
| A third | 3.8 m³ | 417 kg | A small bedroom | £251 |
| A half | 5.7 m³ | 625 kg | One builders' skip | £315 |
| Two thirds | 7.5 m³ | 833 kg | A packed garage | £366 |
| Three quarters | 8.5 m³ | 938 kg | Most of a garage plus a shed | £426 |
| Nearly full | 9.9 m³ | 1,094 kg | Several rooms | £479 |
| Full load | 11.3 m³ | 1,250 kg | Two builders' skips | £545 |
Loads over the weight allowance are £192 a tonne for the excess. That almost never applies to household clearance — it's there for soil, rubble and tile, which are heavy for their size.
Why most people skip the skip
A skip looks cheaper until you add the parts that aren't in the headline number.
Our van
We load it. It's gone the same visit. No permit, nothing sitting outside your flat for a week, and nobody else's rubbish appearing in it overnight. The waste transfer note is emailed to you before we've finished the paperwork on the next job.
A skip
You do the loading, up and down the stairs. On a public road in Edinburgh you need a council permit, and in a controlled parking zone you may need to pay to suspend the bays as well. Then it sits there until they collect it.
Not always the wrong answer — if you're mid-renovation and generating waste over a fortnight, a skip can make sense. For a one-off clear-out, it rarely does.
Gardens, sheds, lofts and cellars
The places nobody wants to empty. We'll go up the ladder and down the stairs so you don't have to.
Garden waste
Cuttings, turf, old decking, broken pots and the fence panels that came down in the wind.

- Clinical and medical waste, including sharps
- Gas bottles and fuel containers, full or empty

Rubbish removal, asked and answered
Do I have to get it downstairs first?
No. Leave it exactly where it is. Carrying and dismantling are in the price, and that includes tenement stairs. The only stair charge is £36 per floor above the second when there's no lift, and you'll know about that before you book.
How quickly can you collect?
Single items and small loads go on our next run your way, usually within a couple of days, and choosing the day costs nothing extra. If you want us pinned to a two-hour arrival window, that's £100.
Why is the second item half price?
Because most of what you're paying for on a single item is getting a van and two people to your door. Once they're there, the extra cost of a second sofa is just the disposal and the lifting. It'd be a bit rich to charge you the travel twice.
Can you take a fridge? I've been told they're special.
Yes. Fridges and freezers have to be degassed by a licensed facility before the rest can be recycled, which is why some firms add a surcharge. Ours is already in the £99 — there's nothing extra to pay.
What if I've got more than I said?
The crew will tell you what the extra comes to before they load it, and you decide. Nobody loads first and hands you a bigger bill afterwards. If there's less than you said, you pay less — that happens more often than people expect.
